Neal Van Zutphen, M.S., CFP®, FBS®, CRPC®, President

Neal is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner, as well as a Certified Financial Behavior Specialist™ and a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor. He began his financial services career in 1983, and is the owner and President of Intrinsic Wealth Counsel, Inc.

Neal is the CFP Board Ambassador for the Phoenix Metropolitan area. He is past President and Chairman of the Financial Planning Association of Greater Phoenix. In 2010, the FPA of Greater Phoenix Board of Directors nominated Neal for the Heart of Financial Planning Award. His research was published in the Journal of Financial Planning and he has spoken at national financial planning conferences. He holds a Master’s of Science in personal financial planning, and a certificate in financial therapy.

Neal is happily married, has three children and five grandchildren, and enjoys reading, hiking and golf.

Casey Van Zutphen, CFA®, CFP®, Portfolio Manager

Casey is a CFA® charterholder and a CERTFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. He is a minority owner of Intrinsic Wealth Counsel, Inc., and his focus for the firm is portfolio management and investment research.

He is a member of the CFA Society of Orange County and the Financial Planning Association of Orange County.

Casey graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Arizona with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics. After university, Casey taught English in Japan. While traveling and enjoying the culture, he became fluent in Japanese, learned martial arts, and developed life-long relationships.

Casey enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys, coaching Little League baseball, and learning Japanese fencing and swordsmanship. He has earned the rank of fifth degree in Kendo, and first degree in Iaido.

Daniela Jones, CFA®, CFP®, Financial Planner

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and CFA® charterholder, Daniela’s main focus is working with new and existing clients to achieve their financial planning and investment goals.

She is a member of the CFA Society Phoenix.

Daniela graduated Suma Cum Laude from Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana, with a Bachelors of Business Administration and concentrations in Finance, Marketing, and International Business.

Prior to joining Intrinsic Wealth Counsel, Inc., she was a wealth manager with Barnes Investment Advisory, Inc., a Phoenix-based registered investment advisory firm. She was with Barnes Investment Advisory, Inc. from May 2005 through January 2017.

Daniela enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She is an active member of her church and volunteers regularly in the children’s nursery.

Chuck Autrey, Investment Committee Member

Chuck graduated with honors and High Distinction from the University of Arizona in 1969 with a B.S. in Business Administration. He is a retired United States Air Force officer and pilot who has lived in Arizona since 1978.

Chuck opened a brokerage firm in Mesa in 1983, became an SEC registered Investment Advisor in 1984, and formed Delta Ventures Financial Counsel, Inc., a FEE FOR SERVICE investment management and financial planning firm, in 1994. He has taught “Basic Investing and Financial Management” at the local community college.

After almost 30 years, including more than a decade of successful business partnership with Neal Van Zutphen, Chuck transitioned from co-owner to now serving as Investment Committee Member of Intrinsic Wealth Counsel, Inc.

Chuck has two grown children, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Chuck and his lovely wife enjoy the solitude of desert living, hiking, flying his own antique airplane, and playing golf.

Cindy Wise, FPQP™, Executive Administrator

Cindy is from the Midwest. She moved to Arizona in 1993. She has over 25 years of office administration/support. Her work experience consists of working in a law office, bank trust department, large corporate business and statistical data research. Cindy began working for Intrinsic Wealth in September, 2000 and has attained her Registered Paraplanner certification. She enjoys spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, family, and friends. She also enjoys photography and gardening.

 

 

Gieselle Ebot, FPQP™, Portfolio Administrator

Originally from Cameroon, Gieselle has called Arizona home for over 20 years. Starting three years ago as our administrative assistant, she is now our Portfolio Administrator supporting clients on multiple fronts. Previously a U of A Wildcat, she is currently at ASU completing her bachelors and masters degrees in Finance.

Gieselle is an accomplished musician, with the harp as her favorite instrument. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, performing at impromptu gigs, and hiking.

 

Alina Serafimov, Administrative Assistant

Alina is originally from Romania. In the year 2000, Alina decided to try a Christmas without snow and planned a trip to Arizona. It was love at first sight. The sunshine and palm trees captured her heart, and six years later she decided to move permanently to the Valley of the Sun.

Alina’s work history includes being an Executive Assistant with a Phoenix-based investment advisory firm, a Program Coordinator for the PHX Navigators (a volunteer program at Sky Harbor Airport), and a Youth Mentor through the University of the Nations in the Netherlands, which relocated her to South Africa to focus on multiple programs in health clinics, high schools, prisons, etc.

Alina recently wed the love of her life in January 2018. She values her time with family and friends and enjoys being in the kitchen. Baking is definitely a stress reliever for her.
